Small actions can have the biggest impact on wellness. Most people think that transformation comes from making huge life changes. It doesn’t.

Research on habits and behavioural change supports the idea that small actions build momentum, shaping our energy and well-being over time.

What Can Micro-Habits Look Like?

  • Taking a short walk outside when stress builds
  • Doing regular brain dumps
  • Trying a short bedtime yoga video
  • Using affirmation cards

These kinds of micro-actions are part of my upcoming book, The Weekend Reset. It’s a simple framework built around research-informed practices that will help you start each week feeling calm, connected, and confident.

Using a Wellness Framework for Greater Impact

These ideas are at the heart of my upcoming book, The Weekend Reset. It’s a simple framework built around research-informed practices that will help you start each week feeling calm, connected, and confident.

It’s based on a holistic wellness framework:

  • Connect – practices that help you reconnect with others
  • Outdoors – practices that connect you to nature
  • Move – practices that help you move your body
  • Plan – practices that help you plan ahead
  • Appreciate – practices that connect you with gratitude
  • Spark – practices that spark joy and curiosity
  • Stillness – practices that help you ground and practice mindfulness

Importantly, it helps us focus on aspects we might not naturally lean into regularly.

For me, I can plan the heck of our almost anything. That’s my comfort zone. But taking time to be still? That’s a bigger challenge.
