Our Research

The Weekend Research Challenge is committed to providing research on wellbeing as well as engaging content. We realize that not everyone gets excited about scouring studies, but we do!

There is a great deal of information swirling about in the health and wellness space, and it can be hard to sort fact from fiction. When sharing research, we will use peer-reviewed, seminal studies including links to where you can find them.  We believe this will provide a solid foundation.

Besides that, research is constantly evolving, so we’ll also look at new studies that can provide insight into the latest findings.

And we’ll do all this while making research interesting, understandable and relevant.

Our goal at The Weekend Reset Challenge is to build a knowledgeable community so that together, we can engage in meaningful discussions, share experiences and support each other through the ebbs and flows of life.

Visit the Resources and Ideas page where you can find research as we explore it, or learn about relevant research as you explore the 7 practices of the Weekend Reset Challenge.

The 7 Practices Methodology

There are many frameworks for wellness that have a sound research basis. Our goal for creating this framework is to bring what is known in the field and make it memorable and easily applicable.

You may also be wondering: Why the weekend? Many people do not work traditional jobs where they have a Saturday/Sunday weekend, however, most people have a day or two where they have less on their plates. These are the times that can be leveraged to create space for planning and getting ready for the next week, whatever that looks like.

You may also be curious about why only on the weekend, and the answer is simple: It’s a place to start. Would it be best to engage in all 7 practices, every day?  Yes, of course, and that’s the ultimate goal but if you’re finding yourself feeling like you need to just begin, you’re in the right place.
